OpenART review
What it does
OpenArt is a web-based AI image and video generation suite. It provides access to more than 100 premium image, video, and audio models from a single interface, alongside features such as character consistency, model training, and multi-step "story" workflows.
Pricing
Basic image generation is free and unlimited; new accounts also receive 40 trial credits for premium models during a seven-day window. Paid subscriptions, checked 2026-07-30, are Starter at $14 per month (4,000 credits), Plus at $34 per month (12,000 credits), Pro at $56 per month (24,000 credits), and Wonder at $240 per month (106,000 credits). Annual billing is advertised at up to 27% off.
Limits that bite
Subscription credits do not roll over between months; only separately purchased add-on credits carry forward. Commercial-use rights begin at the Plus tier ($34 per month) — output generated on Free and Starter is restricted to non-commercial use. Free-tier images carry a watermark that OpenArt's terms forbid removing. Parallel generations are capped by plan: 8 on Starter, 16 on Plus, 32 on Pro.
How it compares
Midjourney offers no free tier, whereas OpenArt keeps basic generation free. Leonardo AI uses a comparable daily-credit freemium model. Adobe Firefly differentiates on commercially-safe training data and native Photoshop integration.
Good fit / poor fit
A good fit for creators who want many models in one subscription and can work within non-rollover credits. A poor fit for anyone needing commercial rights cheaply, since those start at the $34 Plus plan, or for users unwilling to accept watermarked free output.
